Dear Tom,
I hope this letter finds you doing as well as can be expected in your present
situation. It was a blessing to hear you were open to receiving and reading my book, “Once Life Matters: A New Beginning” from Los Angeles County Jail Chaplain Ed. Welsh. I first attempted to send you a copy through publicist, Nancy Seltzer but it was returned so I forwarded it to attorney, Glibert Gaynor. I never did hear if you officially received it.
I have reached out to you Thomas because I know exactly what you are going through and for two years, I had a sister who knew beyond a shadow-of-a-doubt exactly what I needed and she continued to hold out her love and message to me. I hold the same message out to you today. No one else cared what happened to me. Therefore, I know time in the “slammer” can be very lonely, sad, and soul searching. I hope my book brings some encouragement and inspiration to you. My sister’s real “message” finally came through loud and clear once I got myself into a similar “jackpot” as you are in right now. You should see some familiar patterns as you read my story.
Please forgive me if I am being too forward in assuming anything spiritually with you. I am sure you have your own relationship with God and do not need me harping to you about what works for me may work for you. I just know we both have been down the same road. I may not have been as successful as you are in the entertainment business however; I know the “side effects” are just the just same no matter which way one looks at it.
Thomas, I am praying everything turns out right in your life so you “never” have to return to the “pits of hell” to learn your lessons. God has a much bigger plan for you. I know part of it is for you to be there now and have the opportunity of getting right with Him. My last 26 years have been a true gift from God who opened all the right doors for me to joyfully go through in complete peace. I pray your next 26 years will be just as rewarding.
Please feel free to contact me if there is anything you need. I am praying your new case will be over with quickly and you get back on track the right way. Congratulations on the time-served “break” you just received from your probation violation judge. Thank God!!
Chaplain Welsh is a great guy. I hope your time with him goes well. He has also “been there and done that” however, a lot more then both of us put together. Please listen closely to his wise advice and counsel. It may just change your life forever. Go for it!
Warmest regards,
Marty Angelo
