Stevie Nicks - Singer talks to magazine about rehab
Wednesday, April 18, 2007
It's a slow news day at the ol' People desk, so we decided to try something different. Like thumbing through Blender magazine for the latest on Stevie Nicks.
The former Fleetwood Mac star has a few things to say in the magazine's May issue – some of which we can actually repeat here. Such as, say, her take on life after rehab.
"Since I got out of rehab in 1994, I've stopped doing serious drugs. And then as menopause touched my life, I stopped even having a glass of wine. I don't drink at all.
"I find that I'm spacey enough on my own that I don't need to be drinking or smoking; it just doesn't fit into my life anymore. I'm very glad because it's not like I'm fighting every day not to do drugs. They're just gone," Nicks admits to Blender of her past urges and addictions.
We'll buy that, but what about those rumors that Lindsay Lohan will produce and star in a movie about Nicks?
"Lindsay Lohan thinks she is going to play me! But what … movie does she think she's talking about? There is no book, there is no screenplay, there is no movie. There is never going to be a movie made without me, because it's never going to be the story of me." How's that again? "Even though a lot has been written about me, the fact is that nobody actually has a clue to what my life was really like. So good luck, Lindsay." Guess it's not a "go" project.
