02/19/07
LOS ANGELES - Actor Ray Liotta was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence after crashing his car into two parked vehicles in Pacific Palisades, authorities said.
Liotta, 52, was taken into custody just before 8:30 p.m. Saturday and booked on a misdemeanor DUI charge, said Los Angeles Police spokesman Mike Lopez.
He was released after posting $15,000 bail and ordered to appear in court next month, Lopez said.
No one was injured in the collision. Liotta was alone in his car, Lopez said.
A message left at the office of Liotta's publicist Matt Labov was not immediately returned.
Liotta stars with Tim Allen and John Travolta in the buddy comedy "Wild Hogs," set for release March 2. He is best known for playing gangster Henry Hill in the 1990 movie
"Goodfellas."

Ray Liotta - pleads no contest in crash

LOS ANGELES - Actor Ray Liotta has pleaded no contest to a reckless driving charge after police say he drove into two parked cars. Liotta, who is perhaps best known for playing gangster Henry Hill in the 1990 film "Goodfellas," entered the plea Wednesday as part of a deal with prosecutors, city attorney's office spokesman Frank Mateljan said Thursday.
Liotta initially was charged with misdemeanor driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol. He could have faced up to six months in jail if convicted of that charge, Mateljan said.
"Ray had some unexpected drowsiness from the interaction of some medications prescribed by his doctor," said his attorney, Blair Berk.
Under the terms of his plea, Liotta was placed on three years' probation and ordered to enter a 12-hour alcohol education program, according to court documents.
Liotta was arrested in February following the non-injury crash in the Pacific Palisades section of Los Angeles.
Liotta will have to pay $1,328 in restitution and fines and pay the owners of the damaged vehicles, the court papers said.
The actor also has starred in the films "Slow Burn," "Narc," and "Cop Land."
