Prison Minister Addresses Comedian's Remarks Made to Young Hollywood Celebrities

Comedian Jerry Lewis is Dead Wrong

News Blaze online

Prison Minister Marty Angelo was asked to comment today on comedian Jerry Lewis' remarks made during an Inside Edition television show interview.

When asked about actress Lindsay Lohan's and socialite Paris Hilton's recent behavior the 84-year-old Jerry Lewis blasted the troubled celebrities by saying, "I'd smack her in the mouth if I saw her. And if that wasn't enough I would put her across my knee and spank her and then put her in rehab and that's it."

Lewis had also remarked that he felt today's troubled celebrities are, "Children begging for help. What they're doing is saying I'm (expletive deleted) up. Can you help me?"

When Angelo was asked what he thought of Lewis' insights he laughed and said, "Mr. Lewis has been around long enough to have earned the right to address his peers. However, he is totally wrong. Lindsay Lohan and Paris Hilton has had plenty of opportunities to receive the help they need without having to be physically abused and forced into rehab by Mr. Lewis."

Angelo has reached out numerous times to help the young celebrities, even willing to serve their jail sentences and offered 12-months of free faith-based residential treatment. Both turned down his offers.

"Lewis is so far off the mark it is incredible." Angelo continued. "It is amazing that an 84-year old entertainer who has witnessed just about every troubled celebrity in his generation crash and burn over the years has not one clue as to how to properly treat people with substance abuse issues."

Angelo insists that people who abuse drugs or alcohol do not have disease problems but spiritual issues which are easily resolved through faith and trust in Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

"Sin is the root problem that Jerry Lewis has proven through his ridiculous remarks, does not know how to properly identify and deal with." Angelo continued. "It is no wonder the entertainment business is the way it is today. Their leaders are lost.

"When Jerry Lewis' drunkard generation was gulping down all those cocktails they forgot they were setting an example to those following after them." Angelo stresses. "We are all sinners and fall short of the glory of God.... including Mr. Jerry Lewis."

Marty Angelo's book is available online at Amazon.com and in eBook format at eBookmall.com and eBook at Google Books
