Note from Marty Angelo - This is one of the best prison ministry related books I've ever read. I could not put the book down once I started it.  One minute I was laughing and two seconds later tears were flowing down my face.  If this is Hart's first book, I can just imagine what the future will bring for this talented and gifted young lady.  "You Are Never Alone" needs to be in every prison and jail in the world. However, it is not limited to just convicts. It will change anyone's life who reads it.

What Friends and Family Have to Say About the Author

Trish Hart

From the time Trish was a small child, there was something different about her; she always seemed so confident and sure of herself. Being the sister that shared a room and everything else with her, I knew better. Even though she had a fear of the monsters under our bed and the demons that resided in our closet once the lights were turned out, if you didn't know her like I did, you would have thought that there was nothing that could scare her.

I am two years older than Trish, but you would have guessed her to be my older sister. She was a protector by nature, always a champion to the underdog. Walking home from school often turned into quite the adventure. If there was a lost or hurt animal or someone being bullied, she would always step up and take control, no matter the size or strength of her adversary. As we got older, I had witnessed on many occasions her giving away her last ten dollars to someone less fortunate than herself.

Even though she has made some wrong choices in her life, like so many of us do, I see now that it all has purpose. When Trish was first released from prison, I told her how sorry I was that 3 years of her life were wasted, and this is what she said;

"Don't be sorry! These last 3 years of my life have been the best years of my life. Without them I would have never built a relationship with God. I wouldn't trade my prison experience for anything in this world!"

She means it!

Now that I have witnessed firsthand the transformation Trish has gone through, and I have had the privilege of being one of the first to read her book, I now know what it is that made her stand apart from the average person. God's hand and His favor has been on Trish from the day she was born, and it has been on her for such a time as this.

You Are Never Alone was written by Trish, but it is obvious to anyone who reads it that it was inspired by God. Once again she has shown great strength and courage by exposing her life, her heart, and her faith in Christ for the whole world to see. She has left her heart open and vulnerable in hopes that her story will touch and change the lives of those who are in the prisons all across this country and those who are living in the prisons that they have built for themselves by trying to lead a life without Christ.

I believe that God plans on using Trish in a big way. Something tells me that this book is going to be the catalyst that opens doors for her to help advance the kingdom of God in a way that she has never even dreamed of.

I have battled depression since my teen years and by reading this book and letting the truth that God is alive, close, and working in our lives sink down into my spirit, I have been delivered from my prison of depression.

Thank you, Jesus, and thank you, Trish, for leaving me with the undeniable truth that God is with me always and the wonderful truth that-I Am Never Alone!

The time I spend with my aunt Trish is invaluable because her faith is so real. She trusts in God and relies upon Him to always fulfill His promises. Unfortunately, for a lot of us that kind of faith doesn't seem to come so easy. Trish's story is an inspiration. Her story is proof that if we will put our trust in God He will always come through and He will never let us down.

Reverend Kenny Dorrell, Valley Assembly of God, West Valley City, Utah

I am so very proud of Trish for overcoming her demons as well as the overwhelming obstacles in her path. She has helped me renew my relationship with the Lord and made my life better. Trish is a powerful Daughter of God, wonderful sister, mother, wife, and great friend. She is truly my inspiration!

Jackie Lynne Draney, Boise, Idaho

Trish Hart is truly a miracle from God. She possesses the light of Christ for everyone to see. This book is an amazing testament to a wonderful transformation to one of the most delightful, wonderful people I have ever known. She is truly favored.

Lois Dorrell, Orangeville, Utah

This book is a wonderful example of God's amazing grace. We often think that in order to be close to God we have to live a sinless life. The truth is, God is closest to those who need Him the most. This book is proof to us that if we will put our trust in God He will slowly and faithfully lead us into a life that pleases Him. He will lead us into a life of victory as a result of His sweet miracles.

Britney Evans, Magna, Utah

Trish Hart is a remarkable author and has written a very inspirational and encouraging story. I thoroughly enjoyed reading Trish's story and I look forward to a sequel.

BOOK REVIEW

Ex-Con Shares Secret of Surviving Prison
By Robert L. Parker - 11/07

Trish Hart, former prison inmate, drug addict and mother was serving a forty-three month sentence in federal prison when she discovered the secret of not only surviving prison but how to thrive and walkout a better person.

Many inmates get caught up in the drama, power struggles, addictions and violence of prison life. Hart had a reputation of being a troublemaker according to the correctional officers but that was to change. One day while sitting in her cell, the answer to her problems came in a most unexpected way.

God spoke to her and told her that He was with her and that she will never be alone and that the answers to all the challenges of her life in prison and in the outside world would be in following the teachings of Jesus and in turning her life over to the Lord.

Many correctional officers and others are skeptical of inmate's finding the Lord while incarcerated but after reading Hart's words, only the most hard-hearted will not feel the truthfulness of her transformation.

Hart herself was extremely skeptical at first but soon learned that God was not joking. Once accepting the reality of her situation and relationship to the Lord, Hart began to live a Christ-like life, by doing such things as giving away clothing that she desperately needed to help someone who was in greater need. Instead of being angry with everyone, she lost herself in helping others and while in this service to others and her God, she finally found herself. Service to others and giving the all the credit to the Lord made her a new woman.

What better place is there to find the importance of Life than in a jail or prison cell? Miracles are happening everyday in our correctional institutions around the world. Most of us are so caught up in day-to-day living that we don't have time to ponder what is truly important in life. We find it hard to set aside the time to read the Word of God. A prisoner has the time and if he or she will, instead of just doing time, take advantage of the time and use it for good purposes; miracles can happen for them too.

Hart has written a book titled, "You Are Never Alone." She shares her secret of surviving prison in her heart-wrenching story of how a little kindness, love and God changed her life and can change the life of inmates everywhere. Now after years of addictions and incarceration, Hart is finally a free women who is proud to announce and share hope to all that, "You Are Never Alone."

Her story will inspire anyone on both sides of the bars who is experiencing the consequences of drugs and/or prison life. You will laugh and be brought to tears with the struggles and triumphs in Hart's story as it unfolds in a simple yet compelling manner. One need not be religious to read and feel the honesty in her words and her desire to help those who are among the millions imprisoned around the world.

Most inmates talk of writing a book about their experiences and most of them never do. First time author, Trish Hart not only wrote her book, but also was able to get it published by Tate Publishing.

This is a book that every inmate should read. Loved ones of inmates will also benefit from the feeling of joy that come from first the struggle and then the successes of Hart's journey. Get a hold of two copies, one for yourself and one to send to someone you know who is still on the inside so they can learn how to survive the prison that we are all living in.
