Prison Minister Marty Angelo asked for reaction to Lindsay Lohan's new jail sentence

Prison Minister Marty Angelo asked for reaction to Lindsay Lohan's new jail sentence

After reaching out to troubled actress Lindsay Lohan on four separate occasions prison minister Marty Angelo still has faith.

Hollywood CA - April 25, 2011 - It did not come as a big surprise to prison minister Marty Angelo when he was informed of the recent violation of probation sentence “Mean Girls” actress Lindsay Lohan received on Friday April 22.

"I am sure it is a sad time for the Lohan family to see Lindsay being hauled off to jail again. My thoughts and prayers are with them." Angelo remarked on his bi-weekly L.A. based radio show when asked by a listener for his reaction to Lindsay Lohan’s recent 120 day jail sentence.

Angelo continued, "I think a jail or prison sentence is an excellent tool God uses to get one's attention when everything else fails to work to voluntarily change out-of-control behavior. Lindsay Lohan is a perfect example. I think the judge was also wise to sentence Lohan to 480 hours of community service at a downtown women's center and the Los Angeles County morgue."

The listener also asked Angelo what he thought it would take for Lohan to change. He replied, "Lindsay Lohan needs to have a willing attitude to do whatever, wherever, and however long it takes to change. No ifs, ands or buts.”

Angelo first offered to serve Lohan’s jail sentence back in 2007 if she was willing to enroll and complete a 12-month Christian faith-based residential treatment program. However, nothing ever became of his offer and to three other similar offers he made to her after she got in more trouble. Angelo sadly said, “The ‘want to change’ was just not there."

The listener then asked Angelo if he would again offer to serve Lohan’s current jail sentence and he flatly replied, "No. One can only offer help for so long to a person who does not see their own need to change. I think my four attempts are more than enough. However, I do continue to pray God will do whatever it takes to save Lindsay. I have faith Jesus Christ will ultimately change her life when she is ready.”

Marty Angelo is a full time minister, teacher and author of the book, “Once Life Matters.” Angelo’s ministry offers help to prisoners, substance abuse patients and troubled celebrities. Please see website for more information: http://www.martyangelo.com.
