Dear Lindsay,

Please know how sorry I am for you to see you back behind bars again. I am sure in your wildest imagination you never thought in a million years your life would be taking so many twists and turns.

I have tried to help you since 2007 and made numerous attempts to communicate with you, your attorneys and your judges. All have fallen on deaf ears. I pray that as each day passes while you sit there again at Lynwood you will find some time to search your heart as to what you really want to do with the rest of your life. Things can get so much better for you if you would just take upwards of 12-months off and get into a faith-based program that will lead you and keep you on the road to recovery.

You do not have to continue to pay these terrible consequences for your behavior. You have already tried rehab, how many times? Jail... how many times? AA meetings... how many times? Hospitals... how many times? To what avail? Obliviously, not much.

I attended court with your father last month when you turned yourself in. He asked me to be there for moral and spiritual support and maybe get in a word to your judge for leniency . That did not happen. He asked me again to appear with him today. I was unable to do so but did write your attorney and judge asking him to consider placing you in one of the programs I work with. Unfortunately, he did not even allow your attorneys a chance to speak. Nor did I even hear from your attorney who might have asked me to testify on your behalf.

Attorneys mean well, Lindsay. However, they do not have all the answers. They will try their hardest to keep one out of jail or prison. But when they come up short ... it is you who has to walk in and out of those jail-house doors. It is you who has to make the final decision on your own choices. Most of us make bad ones and the consequences come hard and fast. I know what it took for me to finally give up and face reality... when I was sitting in a county jail just like yourself.... looking at spending the rest of my life in prison. It became very serious but not too late to change.

I know you must have read my book, "Once Life Matters: A New Beginning." I think I've sent you at least three copies. Your mom has one and your dad has two. I wrote it from experience and I use it to be an encouragement to those, like yourself ... who are on a very similar road. Dead ends are a drag. I hit so many of them it made my head spin. I finally got sick and tired of being sick and tired and turned to God for help.

Please know you remain in my thoughts and prayers and know there is a better way. I pray God will reveal His true plan and purpose for your life and you will gladly jump on board before it gets any worse. And, believe me Linds .... it gets worse. Just look around.

If you would like for me to come and visit you and explain in detail what my ministry can offer you please either write me back or call me anytime.  Please see enclosed business for telephone numbers.

May God richly bless you and keep you strong.

Warmest regards,

Marty Angelo
