Michael Lohan, father of troubled actress Lindsay Lohan, has a bait of popping up at the worst times.

After Lindsay received her sentence, which included jail, Michael Lohan felt it necessary to make a statement. However, since Michael Lohan is currently in jail (in solitary confinement!) so, making a statement himself was pretty impossible. Instead, Lohan asked his prison minister, Marty Angelo, to make a statement on his behalf. Angelo said:

"He asked me to come in for spiritual support for his daughter ... we pray that Lindsay will find her way. We say the same prayers for Michael. Michael wants the best for Lindsay."

Though the relationship between Michael Lohan and his daughter is strained, he often speaks out to the media about her. Anytime a story about Lindsay pops up, Michael Lohan often makes a statement regarding it. When his other daughter, Ali Lohan, made headlines for her change in appearance, Michael spoke out about that, too.
