Ed McMahon - Crenshaw Christian Center Says Goodbye to Famed TV Star

June 24, 2009

*As reported by EUR, Ed McMahon, the legendary TV host and longtime sidekick-second banana for funny man Johnny Carson, died Tuesday at age 86.

But what a lot of people don't know is that McMahon and his wife Pamela were long-time members of Crenshaw Christian Center, the Los Angeles-based mega-church founded by Apostle Frederick K.C. Price.

The McMahons were close to the entire first family (Apostle Price’s immediate family) and greatly loved by the congregation.

Below is a statement from the Price’s daughter and president of Crenshaw Christian Center, Mrs. Angela Evans:

“He was an incredible human being and extremely generous. He served our church faithfully along with his wife Pamela McMahon. He loved giving, especially to children and those who were disenfranchised.

“He hosted a large concert to benefit Crenshaw Christian Center’s Frederick K.C. Price III Schools and continued to be a consummate fundraiser for our school. He did a toy giveaway for our community at the church for a number of Christmases, which was well received and appreciated by the community. We loved him and will miss him greatly.”
