Britney Spears - "3" song lyrics - Livin’ in sin is the new thing
editor's note: Nothing new about living
in sin, Britney. The world has been doing it long before you were
born. (Brit - see Matthew 12:36, Luke 17:2, I Cor. 6:18 and
Galatians 6:6-8)
"3” is a brand-new single on Britney Spears’ The Singles Collection, which hits stores on November
24, 2009. It celebrates the 10th anniversary of Britney’s debut on the music scene!
Lyrics
1, 2, 3
Not only you and me
Got one eighty degrees
And I’m caught in between
Countin’
1, 2, 3
Peter, Paul & Mary
Gettin’ down with 3P
Everybody loves ***
Countin’
Babe, pick a night
To come out and play
If it’s alright
What do you say?
Merrier the more
Triple fun that way
Twister on the floor
What do you say?
Are - you in
Livin’ in sin is the new thing (yeah)
Are - you in
I am countin’!
1, 2, 3
Not only you and me
Got one eighty degrees
And I’m caught in between
Countin’
1, 2, 3
Peter, Paul & Mary
Gettin’ down with 3P
Everybody loves ***
Countin’

Britney Spears '3': Should a mom be singing about threesomes?

Oops, she did it again. Britney Spears is sparking controversy with her new single titled “3,” a song about threesomes.
While I can’t deny that the lyrics “1, 2, 3/ Peter, Paul and Mary” are catchy, as a parent I found myself wondering if it’s appropriate for a mother of two young boys to sing about such deviant sexual behavior.
Yes being a pop star is her job, but she also has another one: It’s called motherhood. Is it possible for the public or even Ms. Spears herself, to draw a line between her role as a mother and her sexy stage persona?
Why is it that actresses who are also mothers, are not often criticized for the sexy roles they play in movies or on television?
Does Ms. Spears sordid past add to public scrutiny?
