Dear Coach Reid,

I am writing to you today with the hopes of helping your son, Britt. I have been down a similar road with substance abuse and run-ins with the law and experienced a total turn-around over 26 years ago. I write about this change in my book, “Once Life Matters: A New Beginning.” I am enclosing an inscribed copy with this letter for Britt.

There is hope for your son and please know that through all of his trials and tribulations God does have a plan and a purpose for his life. It is out there for him if he would only place his faith and trust in God. 

My book should help cut through some of the confusion Britt might be experiencing. It took me until I was 35 years old to finally come to my “bottom.” I pray Britt’s recent experiences will bring him to his knees a lot sooner.

Andy, I am praying everything turns out right in Britt’s life so he never has to return to the “pits of hell” to learn his lessons. 

Hang in there, Coach … it does get better!
